Freedom of expression, music is people expressing themselves.

But you have to draw the line somwhere, such as how Hate Metal is banned in the US and shit.

you can explaine that somtimes music is a way for teen to vent anger rather then channel it to unuseful actions.and by not allowing teens to hear the music they want to hear, can not give us the same outlet make up shit about how it affects teens... they'll buy it.

haha agreed, i just finnished a research paper about it, i said aginst it, 1. freedom of speech, 2. takes away meaning and mood and feeling and 3. its easy enough to find alternatives

Any sort of censorship is horseshit. It probably the only thing I truly hate. when someone is offended by something so they try to force their beliefs upon other people by bitching and censoring it, its just not right. They are bitches.

We should all remember that freedom of speech has limits.

actually, anything by sweatshop union. there's so many. i guess those aren't really what your looking for but they talk about censorship and the big record compaines "censoring" what they play to get money.

Personally, I take a strong stand against censorship. This being music censorship, not television. I believe televsion should not be censored, but only after a certain time at night. like i wouldnt want my children to turn on the TV and see companies like girls gone wild abusing the no censorship by running ads like around dinner time. More so i think that like after 9 or 10, music lyrics on televsion should be uncensored, along with whatever else, including nudity or the taboo middle fingers should be allowed, even on cable. its a choice to watch it. kids wont accidentally see it that late...and i feel that seeing nudity might take away from the negative implications it faces in the everyday...er go, letting us become more like the europeans (while still keeping our government, economy...).


but music should no be Censored for the same reason that a man walking down the street, protesting the war shouldnt (as long as he/she isnt causing actual disorder and damage). it is freedom of speech. let musicians say what they want, dont ban them...2 live crew should rap about what they want and not worry about lawsuits. its all a choice. i dont think it should be censored. its infringing upon the artists creativity and what they are trying to express. if you dont want kids hearing it, they change the channel to certain ones like radio disney. ones that stay censored will find benefit in doing so from what they recieve in new younger listeners and families.

maybe im just biased because im a music loving and playing teenager. well obviously i am, but i can speak my opinion about it.
