hey me and a bunch of pals ride monarch every weekend. we dont have many riders in our crew but were preddy good. has anyone herd of the place its small and donst have the best stuff but it gets good snow has good backcountry and might get a half pipe next year.

i have'nt skiied monarch since i was like 15, this was about 12 years ago. i skied moguls and they would put their competittion run on "gunbarrel"? I think... they would tow us up to the start behind sleds and the finish was in the parking lot. its been a long time i liver in denver now how far of a drive would it be to drive. that mountain was cool as hell?

i'm not sure why i put a question mark there. i lose all punctuation/grammer/spelling comprehension when i type, which is funny because that is exactly when you should be on top of your literrary game.

ya the run was gunbarrel that all the mogul comps are at. monarch is about a 2-3 hour drive depending on where you live in the denver area. but ya the mountain has changed alot for the better expecily in the last 6 years for the better but still keeping that small ski town vibe that everyone loves. its a awsome area and i think everyone that can should make the trip. everyone i have skied there with says they love it.

i skied there alot this year, and if you know where to find the drops and the snow, that mountain is one of the best places to be!

Every time i go there its the end of the season and it sucks balls. but i heard its really good during the good snow season

Monarch is OK, fun cat tours for sure, i've been there on 18+ inch days and it is pretty boring, nothing too steep, nothing to drop, and it gets way flat. Drive the extra hour to CB and scare the crap out of yourself

i found like one cliff on the whole mountain, hit their chunky rainbow rail and then was bored as hell... i seriously didn't know where to go after that.

They opened the cat operation a few years back which puts you to some fun little cliffs. There's a picture of the cliff band under the username "bagels". My boss recently purchased the resort so we go up there from time to time.

I though I was logged under me, but yeah, my boss owns the mountain so we check it out once in a while. More of a blue mountain, but there's a spot in the backcountry that has some killer lines.
