The US today dropped the worlds largest non-nuclear bomb. Its 21,000 pounds, larger than the well known 15,000 pound daisy cutter bomb. Its name stands for Massive Ordinance Air Blast, or Mother of All Bombs. I think this will be a great way to put pressure on Saddam and lower the moral of Iraqi troops, and to possible kill civilians, but hopefully that wont happen.

they tested it in Pensecola Florida, and yes, bigger bombs are better, basically the US would use them for phycological warfare, basically, we scare the shit out of the enemy.

i think if the enemy is going to be scared a bigger bomb won't do much more. the U.S already has a huge standing army, best technology, numerous bombs big enought to level cities and lots more shit

yeah but picture this scenario. There is a camp of a few thousand Iraqi soilders. We dropped one of these bombs on them. Kill them all. Suddenly, any surviers are going to be really scared. It will help us get this thing over quickly. The Origional desert storm was only a 100 hour war.

yeah, we're still going to probibly use the old version of it, the daisy cutter. The MOAB however can be dropped without a parachute, limiting the danger to the piolots.

see that is useful. i doubt we'll drop a nuke on a group of 1000 soldiers. it would have to be a city to make it worthwile which won't happen agains unless someone hits the U.S.

Some one at my uni said something interesting on Friday, Australia already has a president: Bush. It's true though! We're becoming part of America whether we like it or not.
We as a nation are supporting our troops going to war in Iraq, but only showing them that we care about them- not that we want them to fight.

i hear something good on the radio today. Think of each nation as a house in a neighborhood, we all have to live together like it or not. Now there is no doubt that sadam is a bad man. Lets say that in a house down from you, there lives a convicted rapest/murderer. would you feel comfortable with that, or would you try to get them to leave? i know i wouldn't want him there with my kids around.

Not to mention the numerous UN violations they are in. If anything I hope the US can hold some value to the word the UN puts forth before the would stops taking them seriously.
