i wanna buy a nitro tank for my tippmann 98 custom, but someone told me that i need to get a new hose and need to have my gun altered as well...is that true?, and if it is how much do you think the alterations will cost?
the next gun im getting is a dm5 but that a while away or at least until i can save the money but for now i was thinking about the nitro, but i geuss ill just sell my gun and save the money that i was gunna use for the nitro and buy the dm5 or maybe a dm6
solid plan man...but get the dm5...my friend plays in like national tournaments and is sponsered, and has said that the overall view is the dm5 is better than the dm6
Dude just get the Nitro now, your gun will run fine and shoot more consistantly. Secondly...dont get a DM5, you know what, just message me. I played some serious paintball a couple of years ago, even got to play with/against Greg Hastings (founder of Redz Paintball).
ya u need a different hose/reg set up. im not sure how much they run tho. and to get it put on... just make relle good friends with the guys at ur local place and theyll do it for free
For your first nice gun I would go with one of the cheaper autocockers or the ion. When I was into paintball you had to put out like 600 to get a turniment worthy gun (impulse or autococker).
if your going to be getting into tourny play you will need an expensive electronic gun.....having played at the pro level (we did not do well) you need top of the line gear for tourny play...but if you are keeping your tippy you should be fine just runnin the nitro i did that when i had an a5
Those cheaper screw in tanks have regs and output at the same pressure as co2 tanks do, but do not freeze or spit out liquid. Those only cost $100 or so, not a bad option. The tipmann is not a bad gun, so upgrading to a super finicky non-electro would be pointless. If you want a new gun get an older impulse or DM4 or something, no need to blow over $1000 on a gun/tank/hopper quite yet, on top of tourney fees, traveling, practice (you will need to practice a lot outside of open play at your local field) etc.
