Steamboat

I go to Steamboat every year and love it. The Pipe is usually really good, for some reason this last season when I was there it was not quite as good as usuall though. They usually have somd fun small to mid jumps in the park, and I think they have good rails but I'm not real big on rails and dont know for myself. They always have a couple mid to large jumbs that are really nice. But really big jumps are rare. If you like all mountain skiing Steamboat also has some good steeps and the best tree skiing in the world.

its a really cool setup, with 1 short lift so u can get like a hundred laps a day, but it's not even closely comparable to any of the other big parks in colorado like breck or keystone. but it's fun the rails r setup fairly well the pipe is long and short and the big jumps r step downs but they have a sweet step up.

Steamboat is pretty isolated, there aren't really any cities nearby, steamboat itself is pretty big though, I think the population is about 12,000. Breck and Keystone are about 1hr 15min away, Denver is about 3 hours away. The pipe is the longest in North America (650/700 feet i think) But they might be making it smaller for next year so that it can be more easily maintained. They have two really nice jumps, and a couple smaller ones, Lots of variety with rails (rainbow, S, banked C, up-flat-down-flat-down, flats and kinks etc . And the skiing is amazing, endless glades and terrain. theres a video from akoby9s profile that gives you a good view of the top of the park.

yeah its a real dope park, this season they had a step up set up, so dope, but the pipe blew so badly this year.

im going to school there in a few months..can't wait.

steamboat has real nice, compact park. Has something for everyone in it. Also check the searchbar if you need more.
