Is it beirut or beer pong?

What I've noticed is that its called pong in high school, and beirut in college....what about you guys? Im confused ha ha

they're technically different games. but the name is pretty much interchangeable, and most people don't know the difference, so just use both names for the same game

beirut is where you toss the ping pong balls and beer pong is where you actually play with ping pong pattles... so pretty much everyone plays beirut

take your pick, but technically theyre different games and the more common of the two is beirut, which is the game im assuming your talking about.

i guess it just depends where your from. In my town, you could ask some people if they want to play beirut and they'll have no idea what you're talking about. We just call in beer pong or pong.

yeah i've never played anywhere where it's called beirut. also a lot of the national tournaments and organizations use the beer pong name. i personally prefer beer pong. beirut sounds like some stupid country club game or something, beer pong just fits better for a cheap college game. doesn't really matter though. i don't even consider the use of paddles cus that's stupid so i don't see any real difference.

the game everybody plays is beirut, thats what we call it here. beer pong is supposed ot be with paddles which is just weird

actually beruit is a form of beer pong it is actually official rules ( yes of tossing ping pong balls into cups ) it unifies rules so that you dont have this house rule and that house rule, i used to know all of them but havent been in college in 5 or 6 years.
when ever you are on the last cup to hit wah the ball off then give it a good bounce on the ground then through it in the oponents cup, after you sink it exclaim dirty ball for the game. then dip your cups in the water and slide them down to the other side, therre is no such thing as a bad winner when it comes to beer pong.

wow see around here beer pong is ping pong balls no paddles and beirut is using beer caps instead of ping pong balls maybe its just cuz i live in buffalo or something i dont know

liquer pong is much better. fill the cups with water every time one is hit the team has to do a shot.
