How do you not have to pay customs at the border when shipping across countries?

Yeah so last time i bought some skis which where like 500 for the setup i got charged 75 dollars in customs fees and i was like wtf...so now im order some skis for like 200 you think i will get charged? ALSO, i've heard if you write present on the package you dont have to pay any customs fees... is this true on not... whats the deal with this...also any other ways would be helpful too

oh yeah anither questions...do i like just get the shipper to write "PRESENT" on the box when he ships is... is that the way it works or do i need like any papers or some crap like that

just get the person who sends it to mark it as gift or write gift all over the package.

the gift trick may work but the best way is to not ship them get someone to bring them with them if possible customs cant prove weather its just been bought thats waat i got done for me

If you're sending or receiving to a friend, just writing "personal gift" on the customs declaration form usually gets the job done. However if you're buying something from an out-of-country business, they're almost definitely not going to do that for you.

But u can also ask the money back at ur taxes papers...?
