AIM and Mac

I just got a powerbook...and ive figured just about everything out....except i have one problem...i will put up an away message, but if i close by notebook, it not only sleeps (which is ok) but it closes aim and shit....how do i change that or wheres the setting so it keeps me logged on wen its closed?

Try going into your system preferences and i believe it is under energy saver

i dont think you can...when you close it it goes to sleep to save energy, why whould it use energy at the same time, thats counter productive

under aim preferences there should be an automatic sign on. you can't stay logged onto aim if the computer is sleeping. but if you set it right it will automatically sign on when you open it up

ive found out that there is a hack to change ths option...but the mac wont let u do it without hacking it b/c it doesnt want teh computer to get hot wen closed by running programs, and ruin the screen
