i live in chile, in july it's the best time to come, also august is very nice, if you want to come this year i would advice you check how much snow do we have because it hasn't snowed yet, and people are saying that maybe the winter can come dry this year, and you would not enjoy what really chile can be, to answer your question about what to bring, the weather depends in the place you are so i would need a little bit of info about that so if you want i can advice you a little bit better, pm me if you have any questions to see if can help you out.
I went to Chile last June/July and OMG this is definitely the place to go. If you go when mountains are openning, mid-june, WOW! Backcountry is so amazing. You have to go ! cheers
yeah hopefully we can get some more by june, because the other day snowed like 7 cm and at the other day we had like 75º f. i hope we can get more snow because my hole family works in the snow and if we don't have enough snow we are in trouble...
