Canon GL1 photos

Hey does anyone know how to take the photos off of a GL1.

It just records them on the tape not on a memory card, correct? I guess the only way to do it would be to capture a part of the 6 second "photo" clip, then in Photoshop grab one of the frames from it and de-interlace it if necessary.

yeah... its just records a 6 second long still that you have to capture a frame from.

I don't know about the GL1 but on the GL2 you can just switch it to card mode and record stills to a flash card. Thats what I do. Its the little switch above the record button.

Get your footage into windows movie maker, and there's a "make picture" button. It's basically just a framegrab. They usually look kind of shitty, but it works.
