I read an AP wire this AM about a new resort trying to get the go ahead after aome clean up, I cannot link the AP but it is also in the Vail paper. What kind of terrain is in this proposed area around Battle Mountain and maybe Gilman lake?

i work on pikes peak, and there is plenty of snow in little italy still...have to hike out, but i see the ski area repetitively, itd be sweet if they opened snow cat in devils gulch, and behind or if they would make the ski area into a park or something....the highway is kina a pain...but the chute is worth it

Battle mountain sounds like it will be the private resort of Vail and Beaver creek's uber rich and snotty. That is the plan at least.

I am writing an article about this now and have realized the terrain there is bitch city and it is perfect for the gapers, its no yellowstone club where the goods are being horded. The terrian is relatively shill and rolls alot, kinda like ski cooper.

We used to go sledding all the time on this hill when I was a kid. Definitely not good terrain.
