wow people are finally reallizing that ipods are crap and that the only reason they're so popular is the brand name. I have a creative zen touch and that thing is a rock. I've had it for 2yrs now and the battery life is still longer than a brand new ipod one. It doesnt look as cool but it sure cost less and works better. The only downside is that the controls are harder to use compared to an ipod.
itunes is quite possibly THE best player/organizer/synchro when combined with ipods.
ive had a 3g for a little over 3 years now. i bought a new battery, 20 bucks, and it works fine. the battery was an upgrade, so its not the shitty apple kind that does infact die pretty fast.+
i like my ipod, its not cause its a brand name i bought it, its cause my friend wa an idiot and he sold it to me for 100 bucks, but thats beyond the point, most ipod probelms arent as bad as they appear, mine wasnt working because of something in the harddrive, so i jsut open my ipod up, did nothing to it except take some dust of things, closed it and now it works fine, and ive done this numerus times
i pods arent shit.. they break way less than any other mp3 player. they work better and its so much easier to put music on an i pod than everyother kind
We decided to make the poll after a bunch of mishaps/annoyances with iPods between myself, Mr.Bishop, NoPoles, and some random horror stories from other friends.
Personally my 4th generation 20gig is still kicking after numerous falls in the snow and most recently a drop on a bathroom floor that knocked out 60% of the screen. I'm scared that it's going to die before the next incarnation of ipods come out because if that happens I have no idea what I'll do.
i broke one ipod. and i thought my warranty was to best buy and they said they wont replace it. so i crashed the shit out of it. when i could have just sent it back to apple. but my mom just game me hers
what are you talking about ipods are sick. they can hold like more songs than some computers can and they play video now. i know some people whos ipods have broken so i got some insurance. mine hast broken yet thow knock on wood.
your reasoning kind of sucks. i'm not saying creative products are bad, but you have to take into consideration that WAY MORE people have ipods than creative products. thus, there is bound to be more reported incidences of broken ipods. if there were just as many creative products, you'd probably hear the same amount of horror stories. plus, most of the time when ipods break, it's just the owner being stupid or they're not really broken. i've had my 3rd gen ipod for almost 3 years now, works fine.
they may break alot but they are sooooo good for the time that they do work, nothing beats them. the click wheel kicks ass. mine hasnt broken yet either, besides when i left it out in the cold and my HD was erased of music
i got an ipod nano for christmas. after the first couple days that i got it every inch part of it is scratched. it looks like someone attacked it with an electric sander. but i dont really care, it plays music.
my mini broke like a week after my warrenty was up..piece of shit..does any1 know if i can just replace my warrenty even though i dont have 1 right now? cause then i could just buy the cheapest warrenty and bring it back right away and say its broken
I have this thing called a DMC 500 that is I think the biggest mp3 ever made. Its giant and I didnt know when I got it because it was only and looked much smaller there, i didnt really pay attention to the dimentions. I like it though cause it has its own personal harddrive without going through something like Itunes and holds 15,000 songs
personaly i loved my ipod and i thought it was legit. if u know how to work em there sick and if ur good with comps u can do alot of stuff with em. but my click wheel broke and now scrooling is a pain in the ass. soo down side ipods break easy.
too bad the video ipod only lasts about 30 minutes until the battery dies. they fucked up, shoulda made a battery that could last atleast 2.5 hours before crapping out, you need to plug your ipod into the wall to watch a movie on it, which ultimately defeats the purpose
My creative zen is literraly a rock. There is about a 1cm(literally) dent in the side of the thing it works perfect. It came originally with a 24hr battery life and right about now, after 2 years, is at 14hrs. Thats still longer than a brand new ipod. the worst problem with ipods in my opinion is the battery. Those things dry up within 6 months. Thats if you havent broken it by then.
agreed. i hated them. i got one and i love it. is easy, and very cleaning looking compared to other models of mp3 players. i have a 60gb video and the battery life is still around 20 hrs.. fuck zen. i had one and it broke. fuck em.
