I talked to a guy at my shop who has them, he likes them alot. He says they are kind of like the old PE's. I haven't ridden them, so I can't really help you out.

I own a pair of silencers, got them for $279 at my shop, they are like old enemies with the traixial braid and cap construction, stiffer than some and great for a disposable ski to just mangle all year in the park, I have the 179.

Yea...same dimensions as the original PE. Cept its cap so it will break sooner.

I own these skis in a 179 and they ski very similiar to the old PE's just lighter. Great ski at a great price.

the base is black and it has like a shiny black gun with a silencer on the tip and on the back it has like shiny k2 symbols

my bad, i thought it was 2 different pics^^^
but i hear they are SUPER sick. It has the same dimensions as the first gen enemies, but because of the cap construction and materials it is supposedly lighter. Great ski for park.

they're suuuuuch good looking skis but its too bad k2 went with a cap construction on them (price point goal obviously) and with a nice light ski like this they should have gone with symmetrical...i hate how far back the "reccomended" mount line is on them...and k2's just ride funky when you mount +5 or farther...

interesting news there...though, you never really ever heard anything big coming from him anymore...o well big deal...i think id rather keep my old beat tm's or buy a pair of invaders over these...

i rode them for a week in whistler, they are sweet skis, probably my favorite skis ive had, they are a little stiffer than fujatives, and not quite as stiff as pe's, and lighter than both, they have an awsome flex, like they arent as stiff as you would think so they butter pretty easy, but the tips and tails never chatter at all, and they carve really good. they are perfect for jumps, they have just the right flex, they pop really good and when you land bad they kinda land it for you. out of all the skis ive ridden id say they are like ar5's with alittle more pop and alittle more lively.
they would probably be perfect for you. just get 179 though cause its cooler.

hows the edge/base strength on them?? any worries of delamming or anything yet??? and, have you, or anybody you know rode them with bindings mounted true center or close to it and if so, did they feel alright??

only problem is, our site's not quite up and running yet as it should be, but will be in a week or so. like everyone said, its the old PE shape, with a flex thats similar to the fujative, but more even throughout. i'd compare it to a stiffer trouble maker, flex-wise. same more durable edge and base like all the other k2s as well. definately a good deal.

the topsheet so far is very very strong, its like leather feeling and i have only one scratch thats like an inch long, mabye since its a soft topsheet it can take more damage? the edges and bases are, im guessing, just as strong as all the other k2's which would be very good, i havent had any trouble yet. i have mine mounted true center and they feel different at first just like any other ski, but after like 3 runs you get used to it, they carve sorta similar to the invaders, i only skiied invaders for like 20 minuites but thats what they felt like, they carve super fast and sharp and easy.

yea im just trying to make a rash decision to whether or not i should keep my tm's or get these guys...like i have 175 tm's mounted true center...love the flex, could be a biiiit stiffer though, but i love the feel of them overall...hows the swing weight on the silencers when mounted true center btw?? also, the flex pattern of them...does it feel weird having the bindings centered when they're not supposed to be...like softer/harder tip than tail at all?!

the swing weight obviously isnt as good as something like stl's, ive never tried tm's but id say its similar to ar5's. what sucks is that i was on stls all year and im so used to an extremely light weigh ski, so it took awhile to get used to them again. but they are better than fuji's and public enemys by alot. so they arent super easy to throw around but probably better than most. and the tip and tail seem to be really really similar in weight, so its really nice for spinning.
the flex dosent feel wierd at all, i dont know where the reccomended mounting point is, but i dont notice anything, it probably effects it more with carving, it dosent make it bad, they just seem to carve sharper, so its awsome for carving off lips and stuff.

i rode stl's two seasons ago...amazing ski...are you saying the silencers are heavier or lighter than them though?? and i you're comparing the stiffness to an ar5...aren't the ar5's a rather stiff ski???

they are a little heavier than the stl's, not alot heavier though, the stls are like the lightest skis ever.
the ar5's seem stiffer, especially in the tail, the best description i heard for them is that they are like a fujative with a more even flex, because fujatives are pretty stiff, they just have like butter points or whatever that make them feel softer.
compared to the stl's id say they are about the same, im talking about the 05/06 stls, which are stiffer than the year before.

yea i had the 04/05 stls in a 183...such fun ass skis!! wow...and from what im getting from you here, it seems like the silencers will be like them in essence...im pumped as hell!! hahaha...much cheaper, fun length, nice flex, and on top of it all, they look epic!! i have made my mind haha...silencers for shit beaters this year it is!!!! the tm's are officially for urban escapades

they wont be as soft as the 04/05's but more like the 05/06's with a little more wight. i do know i like the silencers better on jumps than stls.

thats good...the stl's got a bit sketchy going bigger and trying to land smooth...almost too soft for my liking...plus they were kinda lame in the pipe, wouldn't hold the best edge
