Come witness the 1000th show of the fast and furious jam band The Breakfast on June 17 at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. After 7 and a half years of playing together, this show is not to be missed by the music appreciater. if you want to help with promotion you can land a spot on the guestlist. hopefully see you there . peace !

To bad Toads Place is the weakest venue ever. Fuck that place. If you are under 21 they put you in a fucking cage practically behind the stage.

no need to turn people off. this is a huge milestone and the music's going to be incredible regardless of the venue. it's got good sound and amazing lights too. here's a quick link to some songs.

^he's not trying to turn people off it's a totally legit thing to be sharing with us all. i have never been to toad's place, and if i had gone to this show and been in some shitty -21 section i would have been really unsatisfied and pissed off in general.

then get a faid ID, or deal with it. all they are trying to do is keep the minors away from the bar. this band deserves the best and no matter where you are you will be owned by the fantastic music produced. this is sure to be one of the best PB or Breakfast shows ever.

Hey man I love the Breakfast I am not trying to turn people off. This is a very legit point. Although if it is crowded enough you can sneak into the 21+ area. I was able to do so when I saw Max Creek w/PB opening luckily. Otherwise this venue is crap. You can support the Breakfast by hitting up all sorts of venues but I highly suggest avoiding Toads if you are under 21. Hit up Strange Creek or a sick venue like the Stone Church. The audio and more importantly view sucks from the area designated to those who aren't of age at Toads.

this thread is basically pointless if people are saying not to go the 1000th breakfast show because of personal problems with toad's. you don't have to, but others may want to, espeically if they are under 18 since this is an all ages venue, and stone church isn't. plus would you really rather pay 40 or 50 dollars to see them play a set at strangecreek than 12 for 2 long sets or possibly 3? i understand your complaints, but this is a promotional thread, not a toad's place bashing thread

There is other bands at Strange Creek other than the Breakfast so it makes it worth it. I don't have "personal problems" with Toads. I am just stating an opinion as this is a forum. I was extremely dissapointed when I went to see one of my favorite bands their only to be restricted like a dog. I think everyone that wants to check out these guys should. I am just giving fair warning to those who aren't 21, which applies to most of this site, because I would be (and was) pissed when I drove 4 hours to see these guys and I was stuck in a crappy little corner of the venue.

the place for underagers is the entire front of the stage and the 21+ section is in the corner. you can stand 2 feet from the band's grills. either they changed toad's format or you're thinking of a different venue

dude it's all good, i'm pretty sure everyone who's posted in this thread loves the breakfast, and has probably seen them and patronized their great music in the past. but duncan's point about the venue being a little shafty is just as valid, if not MORE valid then you getting free promo on this site. you're lucky this thread didn't get deleted because ns doesn't allow promo shit. what keeps the jamband scene down to earth is the honestly amongst it's peers. just try to appreciate that. maybe that show isn't the show for some/most of us. that doesn't mean we like the breakfast any less! this site is probably around 75% under the age of 21, and it's probably better to keep real then have a bunch of us 19 year olds hauling ass down to CT for this show only to be more or less let down, not but my music of course, but i, and lots of other bros and mamas like being up front in the middle of allllll the fun.

pictures of toad's place and their cd release party on march 4, 2005. the group in front is the underaged section. now if i didnt' know any better, that looks like being right in the middle of all the fun. the 21 plus part is off to the side of the stage, where you are pretty far away from all the fun. i was at this show and its one of the best shows ive been to.
