Sup you guys, it's summer, and I am sure a lot of you think of the future ski season... But, meanwhile, some of you could take their time a little to consider the term "freestyle skiing" and try to find it's correct definition. And then, one could send it to wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, and we would thereafter have our sport we love so much explained, described and part of a real encyclopedia, which would make it more credible, authentic or whatever... Go! post your own definition and the best of it could be part of a future, more complete one!
well there are different categories of freestyle skiing like moguls and newschool. Moguls are moguls and newschool has derived from moguls to become new sport that allows you to express the FREESTYLE in freestyle skiing.
Well that's just my take on it. there's probably more to it.
freestyle skiing is doing maneuvers. may include man-made mediums such as sliding rails and boxes, jumps, walls, and natural mediums such as cliffs, cornices, and pillows of snow. newer freestyle skiing is more inclined to what is referred to as a park, or designated area with obsticles used only for freestyle skiing and snowboarding. older freestyle skiing is often doing exclusively aerial maneuvers without the use of poles, although some park skiers dont use poles. park is more popular than aerials. freestyle skiing can be a variable and may include small sectors of the sport, not even recognized by skiing media. finds its roots in mogul skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and rollerblading. park freestyle often referred to as 'newschool'.
