Replying to Idaho skier lost

Yesterday, while skiing at Squaw Valley, a 28 year old skiier from the boise area past away after over shooting the hip at Squaw. My friend and I were clearing the hip when he asked how fast to hit it. We told him where we were starting but, that he should know how fast to hit it , or he shouldnt do it. Unfortunately , he went long and ended up sustaining a serious head injury and dying at Squaw. I dont know if anyone on here knows him, but if you do, Im sorry for the loss. It was horrible to see someone who was just out skiing and having fun pass away.
