Automobiled inclined folks: why the fuck won't my parking lights turn off?

theyre stuck on and i dont know how to make them turn off... i tried just detaching and reattaching the battery... and now im gonna have to reset my clock dammit, what a pain... oh well, battery will be dead soon anyway i imagine. its a 98 legacy... and uh... i dont feel like just yanking fuses or something cause i dont know what im doing and so on. probably neither does the fantastically gifted NS community but im taking my chances since no car place is open and i cant get ahold of anyone who would know.

on my car, you have to turn the lights all the way up, then turn them all the way back down, twice... then the p lights go off. then turn off the car... (this is done by turning the key towards you untill the engine stops going vroom)
