Go to Vietnam man. I was there last year and it is better than Thailand. Also, if you want to make the haul south it is worth going to Malaysia to get in some surfing.

I have a question though. How hard is it to get around? I mean, do you walk, ride a bus, etc? Have a guide? Do a lot of people speak English over there, because if not it looks hella confusing.

I'm in Nagoya, there is a very good subway system that can get you many places in the city quite fast. Not as many english speakers as Tokyo and Osaka so it can be VERY hard to get things done sometimes. We have been walking everywhere, about 20 or 25 KM a day just to see the city.

The food is terrible here in Japan. Way too salty.

Everything is over the top. Every building as crazy lights all over it, most of them flashing. There are fountains, lazers and neons everywhere. The audio aspect isn't any better. The lamp posts play music. There's G'd up gangsta rap playing at loud volume in department stores in the housewears section. Its funny seeing japanese housewives shopping for curtains to "get krunk, get drunk, get fucked!" blasting over a speaker.

Engrish is pretty crazy. There's a place called Mo's Burger with the slogan "Hamburger is my life", I'll try to post more pictures of that. There are instructions on EVERYTHING. If you don't know how a toilet works and can read japanese, don't worry there are instructions for that.

I'll put some more pictures up tonight (your mourning most likely).
