alrihgt, whats the difference between the 3, my friend seem to think a rodeo and a misty are kinda the same. and a flatspin is also like a misty

rodeo: one shoulder down, other shoulder up, and do a rodeo.

aright your gonna get soo many diff answers but heres mine. rodeo = backflip 180, misty = frontflip 180, flatspin = a sideways flip. everyone gets them so screwed up because its hard to get the definition on the spin.

im too damn confused with ski names, from now on a good trick is gonna be called a cool move, an inverted trick is gonna be a really cool move, and a really hard trick is gonna be a super cool move

let's put it this way: A backflip 180 is a flair. A frontflip 180 is a barani. A flatspin is a flatspin, and explaning a rodeo or a misty is best done by showing you a video of both. Watch a ski movie, you'll see the difference.

Rodeo=exact opposite. Backwards over right shoulder, off axis backflip 540

yes, whoever said a front 180 is a barani and a back 180 is a flair is correct.

for example, a misty could not be a front 180 because you do not necessarily do only a 180 in a misty...you could do a misty 9, etc. it was kinda funny, some kid yesterday said a misty 360, which would be a front flip.

You'll hear stuff like a trick is 'A 180 lincoln loop to a late 180 thrown kind of like a flatspin' but what the hell does that do for you?

rodeo is like back parallel to ground, except like a rodeo 5 when from about 180 to not quite 360 the feet are over the head, usuall border line inverted or slightly inverted. and for like rodeo 7 or swtch odeos and shit itsjust the bak parallel to the ground, but it depends who throws it. flatspin, well, look at cusson and shit. sorta start like a non switch rodeo, but chest becomes parallel to the ground after 180 and should not be invered for that woudnt be a flatspin. misty is like, um, a spin with a side rotating axis thingy. your spiniing, but your also spinning around, not inverted. i bet that misty decription made no sense but meh, i dont care, just take a look at douglas or something, he does them. and if you disagree about the other shit, just look at ski movies and mags, and people doing them in person, but ah

^ Wrong, a flatspin is when you do any type of spin, except you don't land in the tranny, you land flat like on top of a table or at the bottom of the pipe

no ^ a true rodeo5 is a back 180 (said by matt sterbenz and mike nick) a misty is a 720 degree roataion w/a barrel roll over the shoulder (said by mike douglas) a flat spin a spin where your body is parrell to the ground (JF at skiingmotion.com). rodeos can be done w/ a flatspin style. therefor a rodeo and flatspin are can be related but a misty cannot. and another thing a musty should never be called a 'misty flip' due to the fact that your feet never go above your head, it should be refered to as a rolling maneuver.

rodeo: one shoulder down, other shoulder up, and do a rodeo. (with one dif, you gotta spin while doing it)

lincon: same explanation as his rodeo, no spin, just loop.

flair: straight back 180.

D-spin: hard to explain unless you can see it, must include a type of off axis backflip, and must go inverted, with a straight back drop out. (720 minimum spin)

cork: some people throw it forwards and off axis some backwards and off axis, both are right, spin and don't go inverted.

bio: spin face down over the tips of your sks.

under flip: 90, lincon, 90.

over flip: 90, opposite lincon, 90.

That's about it, now everyone can think I'm stupid but I am sure these are the correct definitions.

if you think about doing a back or a front you do it at 12:00 (straight forward). if you go on a trampoline, try a backflip at the 10:00 or 2:00 position (depending which way you spin) and you will eventually do a rodeo. do the same with a front and you eventually do a misty. a flatspin is like a rodeo at 9:00.
