Gray Wolves In Colorado!!! THERE ARE STILL SOME HERE!!!

In a recent Outside Magazine article, Aran Ralston confirmed that there are gray wolves on the west side of Mount Massive. In my heart I know this is true, because I heard them howling across the Mummy Range early one cold morning at Lawn Lake. "Surely they must have had an incredible journey getting back to there", people have said. But I think the situation is different. I think that they were always there, hiding, waiting patiently deep in the wilderness. Waiting to take back the land of their fathers. The wilderness is still vast and unexplored, and the wolf never truly left his throne.
...just thought I'd let you guys know. And I've got one final left, tomorrow at 10:30. My mind is leaving me. AHHHHHHHH!!!! Seriously though, I love the fact that the gray wolf is still here. I became more excited at this news than I have been about any other single piece of information in a while. But again, like I said, I knew this to be true. I've heard them for myself. If I were an animal, I'd be a wolf. Strong and solid. Able to stare right through anything or anyone. Confident. Self aware. The call of the wild commanding me deeper into the wilderness. I kind of already am...
and now I'm just droning on. Good luck with all of your finals to those of you who have some of them left. I'll catch you on the flipside.

A. Trickery

Good luck w/ the finals...summer time is almost here.

Reminds me of the "are there still mountain lions in Pennsylvania?" argument, which I don't think there are.
But yeah, once I got down to my last final my brain was gone. So good luck with that.

I've got a friend who lives outside Williamsport, PA who has a video and photos of a mountain lion walking around his land. No joke.

Haha, my aunt and uncle live in Cogan Station. I'm from Mill Hall, which is a little town right beside Lock Haven (LH University). I'm 1/2 an hour from Williamsport and 1/2 an hour from State College (Penn State), where I go to school.

Ah nice man. My Mom is from Williamsport and my Dad is from Bucks County. I came so damn close to going to PSU- I got into Smeal Business and was going to go there, but then I decided I couldn't live out there. Boulder is too awesome, and I'm not much of an east coast guy. No offense though, because I really did like the school and the sourounding countryside is SO pretty. The mountains just aren't big enoguh. Plus the traditions and everything- Beaver Stadium and the danceathon (I went to it when I visited PSU). Oh, and the fact that my mom and 3 of here siblings are PSU grads...that almost brought me out there, but not quite. Haha I can't believe we got into this conversation over a post about wolves.

Yeah, it's a small world. PSU's a great school, but I don't blame you for going to Boulder. Westcoast > Eastcoast, I'll admit it. Smeal Business school is nice too, I just took a final in their new building and it's hella nice. My sister's actually planning on applying to the business school next year.
