I am thinking of asking for the Audio Technica ones at www.minidisco.com for my b-day. they are too big to use for skiing and I realize this. other than that what do you guys think of em adn Audio-technica in general?

i dont know anything about those ones. But ive got sony mdr-v300, they are awesome. Id look into a pair of these, i like em alot.

use the ones that come with your cd, mp3, and/or minidisc. They work fine.

they may work fine, but the sound quality is shit...like factory car speakers...yummy, nothing like those paper cones.

that^ is not what the guy at minidisco said. he even said Soney is overpriced and compaired to the Audiotechnica ones they have their quality isn;t all that great. -he actually said to buy the cheaper ones and he works there and all...

audiotechnica makes lower end consumer products than sony to my knowledge.

their dj equipment is also pretty low end.

i have some sony headphones that work great, sound quality is really good to, i think they are the md-300 or somethin, get sony man

ok bumbass, did you go the the site? they sell both yet the guy who works there and has used each a fair amount actually suggested that I buy the CHEAPER ones because he said theya are better in his opnion. --THEY SELL BOTH--

i would go with sony. i've got the mdr-cd180's, kinda cheap, but cover the entire ear, keep 'em warm and sound great.

Just a question, but i get the feeling you hate sony. since that's what everyone on here is using but you keep going to other brands. but no, sorry, haven't tried the kenwoods.

i got Sony MDR-CD180 Stereo Headphones for like $30 on sale at Best Buy, and they are the sickest ever, i havent seen the audio technica ones but i dont know if they could beat these

from the cold, my sony's headband has begun to crank right above the adjustable headband piece, above the ear cup.
these are the mdr-v300's.

i'm going to put JB Weld on them, it's supposed to work well.. just a tip for you guys. if you use them in the cold alot, and take them on and off (flex them) it's bound to happen eventually.

Sony isn't too great, mine were alright. Pretty comfy but they busted the other day and are all quiet and echoy. That's the second pair I've had bust in like 8 months.

some people on the dj boards told me this idea:

it's a mixture between putty and liquid, you need to open the crack, put a REAL small drop in, clamp it, then close the crack as much as you can, put another real small drop on outside and clamp it

JB weld, i've never used, but should be available at local hardware store.
