Box question

i am building a box this weekend. i have everything except for the wood. my dad and i have been arguing about what we should use. i said that we should use 2x4 but he said that if we built the frame out of plywood it would last longer. my dad has been building for about 30 years but it seems everyone on newschoolers uses 2x4. what should i use for the fram of my box 2x4 or plywood?

yeah but the problem is my dad knows alot about this stuff because he is a builder and he has been a carpenter for like 10 years so i am not sure. has anyone ever built a box out of ply wood?

build like a 2x4 frame and put plywood around it. if you made it out of ply wood it would break the second you landed on it
