yeah the ground is getting colder coz their is snow on mt buller at the moment and i am like dieing to go skiing i am like p@#$ off that it has not come yet
started snowing back on April 1st, snowed over easter and snowing now. Initial falls cooled down the ground, snow stayed round for a while at buller after easter. These falls will begin the base for the season. It'll be interesting if any resorts start up the snow guns.
yeah i rememmber when it started to snow on the april the 1st it has been snow today for a little but so yeah like you said should start the base of the snow and should cool down the groun for it to snow. but you can always tell if its going to snow up there when the weather is really bad in melbourne you no its going to be snwoing up their.
ive never been so discusted in my life i skied buller at the x games and they had like 2 30ft jumps ill admit they were dope fer sure but tiny and the park down the bottom is a pile of shit...the only good thing is that s rail which you hit at 1kph and it takes you 10 minutes to slide it...its actually pretty fun but ive ridden both and perisher slays on buller by incredible amounts.
perisher will be king if they get this huge PSP park extension happening..
They claim:
PSP Slopestyle
"Our main park and the home to some of this country's major events, includes huge table tops, hip jumps, spines, stairs, step up jumps, fun boxes, giant PSP Wall and more. Constantly changing to maintain the challenge, the PSP Park is the benchmark against which all other are parks are rated."
Was this there last year??? Coz it certainly wasn't 2 yrs ago..the only thing resembling a park was bluecow and a bit of a jib yard over @ leichardt..
it sounds like new zeland is going to have a fantastic start to the season, and aus might just take a little longer to kick in. but high hopes for both snow areas.
^^ yeah i agree, ive been skiing buller for 13 years now i think, i'm still not sick of it, yet theres probably plenty of people who could say the same about any of the other mountains
they started building it last year, but it never got fully developed, at least not when i was there. but it was a fun park, and definately an improvement from bluecow and leichart. they just need to get the parks good earlier, i know it's hard with the amount of snow we get but there is never anything good until ages into the season
That's so sick. I can't believe that I lived in Australia til I was thirteen without ever seeing the freaking snow. I wish I'd taken my mum up on the offer to send me back this summer, now...
