Stadium Arcadium has gotten out..just got the 2disk cd from a friend and let me tell you its fucking awesome...im still gonno buy the cd so dont go tellin me you shouldn't steal music.....

to everyone who's not going to buy it, but is going to download a whole bunch of songs from it:

fuck you. go buy the cd, it's gonna be solid, and you know it. support the band and all that jazz. (not directed at the creator of this thread, i read your post and good for you for still buying the cd. oh, and what's your favorite song?)

i recently just re-discovered how much i love red hot chili peppers..i haven't listened to anything else but them in days. as much as i dislike cds and think that they are a total waste...i may buy this one.

yea i dl'ed the entire album on a torrent.

its mad good and i respect it soo much im gonna go buy it when it comes out. plus i love the chili peppers and i own every single studio album theyve done.

oooooo 15 bucks.... that's what? an hour of work? they put in a year and a half to make the cd for your listening pleasure. you're fuckin cheap.

First off, out of the $15 for the cd the actually band members make a very small percentage sometimes under a $1 for each sale, most of the money goes to the producers, managers etc. Most bands make their money off tours anyway. But whatever i dont give a shit, you can go ahead giving already wealthy people your money.

yea, but this is possibly the cheapest cd ever. 28 songs for 15 bucks at hmv. i dont know if you have hmv in the states, so you might have some outrageous price, but this is like 3 cds for the price of one. plus the songs are all fucking amazing, so its like 6 cds for the price of one because they dont have any songs you wont listen to

Fuck you all. I paid $20.02 at walmart.

Downloading songs actually makes me buy MORE cds. If I like a few of an artist's songs, I'll usually go out and buy their cds.

they didn't do it for their listening pleasure...they did it for money. It's not a bad thing, it's jsut how it is. They're a great band. I've loved them since I was in elementary school. I'm not going to buy the CD though. Pretty much because of the fact that I have NO use for a cd. I use mp3 for pretty much everything. Yeah I also like that it's free.
