would it be like a scab like when u cut your self and u heal ... could it just be the tree healing itself/protecting itsself so therfor just the inside of a tree dried up?
Anyways now I totally forget the composition of bark but we studied it in bio. There's different layers, and the outter layer is compiled dead plant wall cells heavy in cellulose.
Haha, cork = bark, but bark doesn't necessarily = cork. Cork grows in Spain I believe, and cork trees will actully die if you don't harvest the cork. You can also get cork flooring. It's sweet as hell.
cork is actually made from oak thank you very much
i think bark is just made out of the same fibers the wood is made out of, just more loosely packed, the same materail it seems like, maybe call it messed up wood
