So what you need to do is FIRST DEFINATELY LEARNTHEM ON TRAMPS. if you cant do it on a tramp dont even think of trying it on snow. Then when you dropp in be convident, and dont let adrenilen jello out your legs becuase they will need to be firm under ypurself for the pop. When you approve the jump ,shift your weight forward, and at the lip POP AND THEN SET YOU BACKWARD ROTAION WITH YOUR HIPS HEAD AND SHOULDERS. dont set untill you have poped. then keep your eyes open in the air and almost immediately after you set you can see your landing, just keep your eyes focused on your landing, and if youve set the rotaion right you should come right down to your feet. but only try on a big powder day, becuase i can almost guarantee you wont land it first try.

starting out make a jump with a lip that will kick you in the air. compress legs and release at lip. arch your back and try to look at the ground while looking back. then when you see the ground try and look for the horizon and spot your landing. while doing that tucking your legs help for a fast rotation. its a simple flip, but its easy to get disoriented while upside down the first few times and land on your head.
Yea no need to go from tramps to pools to water ramps and all that if u want sure practice but it truly is easier than u think if u cant just go for it u arent goin to progress very far in sking n e ways...
just jump off a diving board or on a tramp. practice that all summer and then next year when there is a big powder day just build a little kicker and keep practicing. You will get more and more confident and then will be able to just bust out a backflip anywhere
they are actually really easy. i cant do them on tramps or off diving boards or anything. i just went into the backcountry built a jump and did it into pow. just look back and its really easy. all about balls
I have never done them on a tramp or into a pool either. Just build the right jump and go gor it, you dont even need powder. It has way more to do with balls and just going for it then skill.
yeah, im going for one next year, i cant wait, i can stick them on tramps, i really wanna get them on the gournd though, like running up to a hill and doing a back flip off of it
i found them way easier on skis. just make a small, near vert jump and have a soft landing after it. u really dont need much air. have enough speed and just huck your body back, using ur hips and back. you have to commit or it will be painful. theyre actually easier than 3s once u get em.
