he flung it backwards in disgust, he didnt attempt to hit the ump. lifetime ban is stupid. in the 70's there was a player that hit someone in the head with a bat twice, opening up his forehead, and he got 8 games. they were talking about it on pti today. i think that, given the precedent, no more than 20 games and participation in a community outreach program for the team/leauge is appropraite.
