Tele Tuning

My friend wanted me to tune up his new teles, and I was wondering if you detune the edges differnetly on a tele due to the different way its skiied. I personally don't see why, but wanted to check to see if an of you all knew

No need to tune them any differently, in fact I never even tune mine.
