now a cat always lands feet down, and a piece of buttered toast alnds butter-side down. If a piece of buttered toast was strapped to a cats back and the cat was then dropped, would the cat land on its feet, back, or be stuck in a state of quantum indecesion?

ahaha thats good man... but i would say the toast because cats only land on their feet because of some balancing shit gland and their tail so if you strapped a peice of toast on ..... it would throw the cat off and the toast ( which only lands butterside down becasue of pure misfortune ... although i do have a book on this titled why your toast always lands butterside down..... would land upside down and the cat would be fucked

The cat would land on its feet pretty well no matter what. Unless this piece of toast happened to be made of lead. That would be a tough call

well trechnically the toast would never land on the floor, the cat would. cat is heavier and they go feet first. not too mention it more than counter balances the butter on the other end of ther toast. ayohhhhh

mythbusters proved that the "toast always lands on the buttered side" is false.

The butter could be strapped butter side down on the cat.

well since the cat is an animate object, it would land feet down unless it were dead

you know, if you spin them hard enough cats dont always land on their feet.

cats will only land on their feet when dropped from a certain height... if u drop them from like a couple feet they dont have time to twist their body around to land on their feet... so i guess it dpends how high you drop the cat with the toast... but if u ever feel like testing it out... please videotape it

then the cat would probably have a broken spine upon landing. regardless, i don't think there's an actual answer for this.

IT WOULD LAND ON THE SIDE!!!!
two theories here. Because the cat contains more volume and mass, its probability of landing on its feet is therefor higher than the toast landing on the butter because the toast is inferior in volume and mass and that gives it less prevelation to probability.
OR if in one case the cats ability to land on its feet is equal with the force of the toast landing on the butter side, then their equal supernatural forces with cancel each other out, because them mixing doesnt work, thats not possible in nature and therfore antigravity is impossible, but if the factors are equal than the cat with butter attached on back would land directly on its side, with the gravitation pull for each equal.

sorry to break it to you, not all cats land on their feet, my bio teacher was just talkin today about how her cat was not like normal cats, some1 that was related to her wanted to prove it to her that all cats do, and so he pciked up her cat n dropped it starting paws up, well it didnt move in the air and landed on its back
and on mythbusters not all buttered bread lands on the non-buttered side or w/e

butter side down because it would throw off the balance of the cat because it would have the extra back weight

actually the butter would never hit the ground if the cat landed on its feet, so it all works out

well what would happen is the cat would eat the bread on the way down and then land on its feet, there problem solved

the cat would land on it's feet, and the bread wouldnt hit the ground at all. so everybody wins.

^Now are you dumb? no.
And that myth busters butter side down test was bunk. Everyone knows that wierd brits dont make toast on top of buildings, they do it in kitchens, or pantry's.The toast will always land buttered, jammed, creamed cheese, or marmaladed side down IN THE KITCHEN from no higher than the distance between the counter top to the ground (possibly the toast practitioners hand). Whatever the case, I think its safe to say, that, if wierd brits dont eat toast on the top of buildings, then whoo does?

Yeah exactly! They where dropping it from a few stories up where the wind has great affect on which side the bread lands on.

a cat clearly outweighs a piece of bread so it will land on its feet. is this seriously questionable
