definately not a competition trick, a kid at bear filled his whole run w/ backflips and didnt do well at all...he didnt deserve to. i think backflips have their place, and it's not on 20 foot tables. sure it's cool and get's people to "wow" but i think backflips are much more respectable when they are fucking huge...off clifs, booters etc. that's just my take on it, i dont like how they look on small shit

I'm going to go totally off topic and express my views about the Standard Apptitude Tests. SATS suck hairy balls. I just got my scores back and they were lower than my ones from last year, which really pisses me off cuz I skipped bear creek's April 1st slopestyle to go to lehighton and take them, plus i don't get this scholarship i wanted, but i'm mostly pissed cuz I missed the bear creek comp. SATS are fuckin gay. Sorry, Just figured I would just release my anger here.

^its not about how much you know, its about working the format to your advantage. i did better than tons of kids who were ranked higher than me in my graduatiing class, its all about how well you know how to take tests. plus most of the stuff in their is 8th grade college prep basics anyway. and about backflips, if you can do them, props, but if you need to ask if its a respectable trick, chances are, its not. they're ballsy at best, super risky, and arent really that impressive to watch if you have a knowledge of what it takes to actually do the trick, unless its off something like a 20 foot cliff or big bc booter. the kid at bear who did a backflip for every hit of his run, skipping rails just so he could get in one last backflip over a makeshift 10 foot table, was super lame to watch. probably the most regressive thing i have witnessed in this sport to date. like i said, props for doing a ballsy trick, but add something to your skiing to make yourself stand out and develope your own style. try new grabs in your spins, tweak the ones you can do and try and hold them more throughout your rotation, get your rail tricks to look like you're not even trying. that will get you noticed by your peers a lore more than a hucked backflip will.

backflips are a great trick to learn only bc it helps you learn other tricks that actually score high, i.e. underflips, flatspins and rodeos. But backflips are easy and anyone that can do them knows that

Matt, good skiers always get hot chicks. It is not just something that applies to some females, it applies to all. Take Chad Rapchak for example. In his own words 'I landed dat' 1080 and bitches were like wow!' That says it all. If you're wondering why you can't get chicks, its because of your wardrobe. You just don't ride with the right amount of pant sag, and on the few occassions when you do, your suspendors show, which definately is definately not a cool thing. So the answer is this: Good skiers always get hot chicks as long as they've got the schwank.

im all for backflips of all kinds. They are so much fun. like the whole feeling is just fun. its not difficult to do but it gets the average crowd pumped.
