well, I don't know if any of you guys have been following chris davenport this season and his quest to ski the 14ers, which are the 54 14,000+ foot peaks in coloardo, there are 54. Dav has done quite a few and it is all documented on this site. http://www.skithe14ers.com/ I thought it was really cool when i first saw it a couple of months ago, and i checked it tonight, and this guy is truly a big mountain pioneer. This is an astonishing feat to even think up let alone attempt, and Chris Davenport is gettin closer and closer, so guys, just wanteed to give NS an update on Chris Davenport's quest to ski the 14ers.

cool. thanks. I remember reading something in powder a couple years ago about some dude who's name I will remember after I post this who was the first to do it or something. Andrew McClean maybe? I dunno

thats the guy! ya it took him 14 years, but this is epic what Dav is tryin to do, cant wait to see the dvd. This guy is truly amazing

That is awesome, I coiuldn't imagine skiing more then mebbe 3 or 4 14ners in a winter, like hiking wise. That would be intense, not to mention if I would even do those lines, I doubt I would.

i cant wait to see how he does the wilsons and the crestones....how do you think hes going to take on crestone peak? the red couliour? the south couilour? anything is is class 5 climbing, so hes going to have to do a gnarly ass chute either way

Finally having an attempt in good weather, Ricky went on to complete a phenomenal third record with 12 days, 15 hours, 35 minutes.

yeah i was going to voice my support for you on this. he did it folks, no shittin.

and bristol, he'll make it. What you have to understand is that most of these peaks will have quite a bit of snow on them for another couple of months even. Some of the San Juan ones are still under a midwinter blanket of snow. he'll do it, no sweat.

that's so incredible. If you've never climbed a mountain, let alone a 14000ft peak, you can't imagine what it takes to pull that off. The man is a machine!!
