Next year I would like to compete in both but since they are $100 each, thats kind of expensive. what do you guys think which would be more fun and a girl would have a better chance in place better in?
You should really try to go to both they're so sick. I've never been to VTO but Young gun was by far the most fun competition I've been to and that was the Seymour one with pretty much the worst possible weather.
i didn't go to ygo, but the girls fucking threw down, so if your going on the mindset that you want to do the one that you will place better in, do ygo. but if you wanna ski a sick course, and better your skiing for 5 days, do VTO.
i saw the winning run, i think anyways, wasnt it just back to back 3s with a grab and then a 5
i think i'll do YGO because it doesnt seem like as much competition and there'll be girls somewhat around my age. plus i would only want to compete in slopestyle. do you know how many girls compete in YGO?
Great thing about the VT Open is no matter what happens you get 4 days of riding with some of the best in the sport. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and the park is always perfect. Id say bang for your buck, VT Open is probably your best bet.
and for everyone to know
you could spend 72 dollers a day to ski at stratton and not on the vto park
or you could spend a hundred for four days on the illest park ever with all kinds of nice riders
makes alot of sense to me
and the more people that do and come to vto the bigger and better itll get
well i would be wicked stocked about both, but i dont know if i would even qualify for VTO, do girls automaticly qualify or are there enough for finals and stuff?
i was talking about the VTO girls threw down. like cork 7 cork 7 cork 5 sw 7 won it. even though the compoetition is at a much higher level at VTO, its a blast. and if you film, can get some sick shots to semd to sponsors.
There will be less but I didn't like the "scavange through the lift lines to make your run" type of deal. If you don't mind that, it isn't bad at all and is pretty fun to go to.
You can go through the ski school line, but it's still wicked packed and you need to be like to people, "Yeah I'm in a comp. can I cut you?" Some people let you in no problem while others... you just have to kind of squeek by.
^yeah i plan to. i got injured and couldn't compete this year, but i went and watched and i can't wait for next year. hope to see you there! woot for women
ill be doing both again next year
they are both pretty fun but vermont open is definately cooler
the vto course was awesome and just a way bigger event
id say you should do vto if you can just do one though
