Replying to Gangs of New York and Troy

Alright so I just saw Troy for the first time last night and Gangs of New York on t.v. today and I just realized that 1. Troy is fucking confusing and doesn't make any sense and 2. Gangs of New York (GNY for short) has a good story but leads up to nothing. Let's start with number 1.
Troy was alright and Brad Pitt was fucking badass in that movie but some parts of the movie where just umm... what the fuck? Take the battle where the people of Troy roll those flaming balls down into the camp of the invaders and blow their shit up. What do the invaders do? Attack of course because that's what you usually do to defend yourselves and even better they are lead by Achilles (Brad Pitt)... or so they think. Achilles gets his neck cut, they take off the helmet to reveal it's not him and then all of a sudden everyone STOPS. This is directly from the movie, "I think that is enough for today", and with those words everyone just suddenly drops all their shit and go back to where they came from totally admist that just a minute ago they where at fucking war. What the Hell?
Now on to number 2.
GNY was pretty sick as well I'll admit but after watching the whole thing (which took about 3 hours because of all the commercials), I realized that the whole story line had little or no play into the ending. The whole movie leads you to believe that the story goes; boy looses father in a fight over two major gangs (natives vs. dead rabbits) and boy be-friends the man who killed his father (leader of natives gang) only to eventually revive his father's old gang, (the dead rabbits) and avenge his father. BUT WAIT! Out of nowhere a riot forms of just random shit fucks who decided to kill everyone from the rich to the poor to the minorities. Umm... who are these people? I thought the city was split into half but apparently the city didn't quite get the memo... Anyways there's still a face off between the newly reformed dead rabbits (lead by the boy grown up) and the currently ruling natives. Yeah here we go! Oh wait another curve ball! The government decides to join in and blow everything up because the riot is so bad that they just decided to say fuck it and just erase the whole problem at once. The boy does kill the leader of the natives and avenged his father's death but what about the gangs? Oh yeah, they all died, there was no fight just a lot of explosions. The leader of the newley re-formed now dispersed again dead rabbits leaves New York with his new hunnie just because umm... I guess San Fransisco had gold or something.
So these are my words to the writers of major Hollywood movies; WHAT THE FUCK WHERE YOU GUYS THINKING WHEN MAKING THESE MOVIES!?
