I used to play games online but it just pissed me off too much, little 11 year old kids hiding behind their internet anonymity blanket and talking shit when I would fuckstart every single one of them if I ever saw them in person, it just really upset me and made me hateful

it originally was on Wow as I have read.

PWNED:

A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned."

Most of the acroynms of today were invented by counterstrike, and leet was certainly popularized by it. Things get invented in varous places, then get used on 4chan, then from there they bleed out into reality.
