work on it by steps. first hit the jump and just cross. then do the jump again and cross and tuck your legs. then finally add a grab. after that try tweaking it

A cocktail, you asked for a cocktail.

No, I asked you to give me a refreshing drink. I wasn't expecting a
fucking rainforest; you could fall in love with an orang-atang in that.

yeah the most important part of any grab is bringing whatever part of your ski you want to grab as close to you as possible because reaching really far for grabs will throw you off axis. for a mute grab, like people said, first go off jumps and try crossing your skis and tucking up your legs. Once you're comfortable doing this, try it again only this time reach across your body and grab the outside edge of your left ski with your right hand or vice versa. Grab whichever ski you have on top when you cross up (I usually cross my left foot over my right one so I do right handed mutes). Once you're comfortable with doing the grab you can start tweaking it out more each time.

tweaking it can be too any side. i just call stuff tweaked when it's not at it's orignal place. behind you, to the side, foward...etc.

bring your skis up to your chest aka tuck up then put your left ski boot over your right ski boot and then reach your right hand to your left ski and tweak the hell out of it for a bigger cross.

yeah tweaking it is kind of different for every grab but for a mute grab it just means pulling it hard across your body which will naturally bring your legs up. Another really important thing for grabs and ultimately spinning with grabs is that you need to make sure you're well balanced in the air/that your spin is well set if you're spinning or else throwing the grab will fuck you up. Don't throw the grab too early just be patient.
