Replying to Drilled an 8 year old with a softball

So i was up to bat and i hit a long high foul ball and what do you know, its heading right for this family all standing in a circle. Everyone yells heads up, but the dad instead of protecting his kids decides to cover himself. So the ball hits the little kid right on the top of the head, he fells over and started to cry right away, i felt so shitty, i couldnt even go see how he was bc i had to bat still and by the time i was done they were gone!
