Replying to Avalanches and the news WTF?

I'm getting really tired of the only things you hear on the news about avalanches and the BC is that either someone did something stupid and got caught and god forbid hurt or killed or someone out ran an avalanche or basiclly got very lucky and is now being rewarded.

I really wish the media would stop showig avalcnhes like this. giving anyone the idea that you can out run an avalanche is just a lie and nothing more. And using stories of tragic accidents that usually could have been prevented as example of what happens in the BC is just wrong. avalanche conditions should be more than just a 2 second blurb on the news saying "the avalanche danger is high" why can't we get some actualquality info spread to the public and work to create a much safe BC for everyone
