If one is alone, but does not feel alone, is he truely alone? Perhaps this question can be answered by it's reciprocal, If one is in company, but feels alone, is he alone? Then again, perhaps it cannot.

wait that didnt make sense- so if you're alone but you dont feel alone, then you're not- so for the first question, NO- and for the second one, if you're with company but you feel alone, then you are- all a state of mind but i just contradicted myself up above....oh fuck now im confused as hell

See, I think the second question (if you are in company, but you feel alone, are you alone?) is fully state of mind. However, I believe the origional question asked is not so easy to answer.

If you look at the movie for example (I realise that the dude seeks fulfillment, and not just companionship, but lets just look at is lonliness), the dude thinks up Brad Pitt and no longer feels alone, but if he truely wasn't alone, then he wouldn't need Brad Pitt. See what I'm saying?
