They have good rails. Not much for jumps though. Sick Roller Coaster rail they where setting up when I was there a couple weekends ago. It's up now I've heard. Down Box that is perfect for spinning onto. Like absolutly perfect for it. A flat bar I'd give it about 30 feet, Flat box, Kinda fun little roller coaster box and a nice high flat bar thats good to spin off of. They have a decent butter box to
you dont go to sunshine to ski park...ok, there iiiiss s s ss a thing called powder, and clif, and goats eye, and Delerium Dive, oh and the "back door" but you can go ahead and ski there crappy park if you like.. rant rant.
well at this time of year that all sucks. Cliffs are not worth trying cause you sink in and face plant off the smallest of drops, no powder and that other stuff just isn't that fun in slush
booters are good there. real nice. big ish. I think like 40 ish? For the people who frequent at louise? I havent been there since they opend their park.
dude if ya only know how to ski groomers your going to suck in spring conditions. Garbage chutes ahs a variety of good sized cliffs and mini lines that are amazing in the spring and just because YOU dive and face plant doesnt mean its impossible. Its actually easy, just a different skill then stomping a cliff mid winter in pow. Spring slush landings are like landing on a trampoline, you just have to know how to absorb them right so you dont bounce over your tips. Mid winter is more like landing on a pillow. Plus any sort of back country and steeps is the shit, Slushalanches, blue bird days and soft soft snow. A couple parks laps in the morning when its still crusty then off to do some real mans skiing in the afternoon. Andrew dude you just stay in the park though. Your right it sucks so bad at this time of year...
i guess the slushalanches are cool...until they kill you one day. but yeah garbage chutes in the spring are good cause they get the sun driectly on them, but ski them now because they close them off mid may. i would rather ski the park all day anyways (in the spring), i suck at park and it's more fun to learn when it's warm out.
its really fun, i can clear to like 1 foot from the end and it has tons of kick. i think you could gap the whole thing but im not sure, speed was bad when i hit it so i pretty much had to tuck from the catrack
can i just say that in spots i was getting knee deep yesterday and everywhere else was shin deep, wet powder if you get my drift. sunshine owns, the rails are fun too
i went today (tuesday may 2) they had 17 cm's over night but it was heavy in the aternoon. the park is pretty good right now, they have an up to down box gap set up. jumps were closed due to the new snow so hopefully they groom it for tomorrow, anyone else going?
are you kiding me?? this time of year if you dont have equipment you rent and shred the dive, and the cliffs are good this time of year its just people think there bad because a) they suck and dont do it right b) never done it or c) are hitting the wrong stuff.
hahahaha me too ryan, i have such a sweet goggle burn! but ya the park was sick today, to bad it slowed down a bit between runs cause i 1/2 cased the hip when trying to gap the whole thing and do a cork 7 (the vid should be good!!)
but if its as good as it is theis week next week should be a great way to end the season!
