I was just informed that my Great grandmother in France died last night, she was 98 years old. I was her first great grandson and I was born 2 months after her husband (my great grandfather) died. so my whole life she told me that I saved her life and I gave her a reason to live on.
-she lived in france through World War 1 and World War 2
-Her drivers license was the 18th one issued in France
-she drove her car until she was 95 when some asshole stole it and she stopped driving because she couldnt get used to a new car and her old car was near impossible to find.
-she walked 1 to 2 miles a day until she was 97.
-shes one of the most amazing people I had the pleasure of knowing, im amazingly glad that she was part of my family, she will be missed and writting this is making me tear up.

Sounds like a very intereting lady, sorry for your loss but it sounds as though she lived a full and happy life.
Did she leave you anything?
I never knew anyone older than my grandparents.
