The easter in Hemsedal started with an ending of the hemsedal open contests. This is the third, after the two city wallride comps. Now all the best riders in norway and some foreginers came to fight over 75.000 kr! It started with Qualification on Friday, where they picked out the best ones to ride the semi qualic on saturday, the qualifiaction was in the main park, where all the elements gave points. Jumps, Step up, Superpipe, rails, wallride and boxes, a really good slopestyle course. The weather wasnt that good, but the riders trhew down. The winners from the two earlier comps had wildcards to the semi qual. Over 80 riders was in for the fight, and we saw rightside and leftside spinning, sw backflips, tech rails, huuuge airs over the step up, frontflips, pretty much anything you can imagine. On the evening on saturday it was time for the finals. The eight best riders went down to the bottom of the resort where a huuge 20 meter kicker was waiting for them. Alot of sick skiing went down, Even Sigstad took all his jumps unat, working his way from cab 7 to cab 10, Andreas Disch doing really steezed sw cork 10's truetail, and Kenneth Lillemoen stomped out three sw cork 12's and won the comp. Second was Thomas Dølplass with some sick sw 10 nosemute, and third Anders Backe, steezed all his tricks far down the landing. Doing no spins higher than 9.
