Jeopardy uses like opposite things, so they read the answer to the question and you ask the question. For example, if the answer (what the host reads) is
"The current president of the United States"
The question (what the players say) is:
Who is George W. Bush
P.S. that was just an example, don't turn this into a political debate. You can read those threads someplace else.

Haha, now there's an effective way to draw them out. "I love Jeopardy and missed the other night's episode, did anyone tape/tivo it?"

just have someone on the West Coast record it. i don't think it's come on yet. and if we miss the west coast, have some of the newschooolers in alaska record it.

All tv is on at the same time.. It's the time zone's that are different.

I would expect it would be less then five minutes off.
Shows are on whenever there brodcasting station wants it on. For instance, NBC, In New York City, will say a show is on at 9pm. I'll be sure to turn on my tv at 7pm to watch it in Colorado. And I'll still be able to call my buddy in New York, who is watching the same show at the same time.
That's why TV always says, "Tonight at 6pm/7pm Central."

So the five o'clock news is on at different times? Is it at seven on the EC?
Wow, I'd never thought of that.

Yeah... you can jib without armadas. and i thought that Jeopardy would be on in a little bit on the West Coast. I doubt they'll show Jeopardy at like 5 o'clock.

have you guys ever left your home state?
of course jeopardy is on @ different times across the US. FOr example, in colorado it's on @ 3pm weekdays, which would be 2pm in cali.
In cali, it's on @ 7pm, which would be 8pm in colorado, clearly not the same time. It's a recorded show, so it can be distributed to local stations who play it when they want / according to contract with Merv Griffen.
Definately dope that armada was in there. i was like wahhhh?
