Northstar even got a ton, 40" of it. It just kept getting deeper every run, and NO ONE was there. Fresh tracks everywhere. The pass even closed for awhile, it was bad.

was northstar fully open? alpine had limited lifts due to winds.

^That's the badass thing about Northstar on pow days, no wind holds like Squaw and Alpine. There are lots of trees at Northstar for protectuion so their lifts never close even when it's howling at like 100 miles an hour at Alpine.
Hornets Nest is just a cool little spot to hit in powder. It's short and not steep but there are lots of little pillow lines and trees to jump through. It's so fun to go dick around in when you are lookig for something differnt on powder days. My friend and I discovered it last winter during March when we got all that snow and it was so fun and we had it all to ourselves.
