Replying to Advice needed whistler 06/07

G'day,
Myself and 2 other mates are 19, and heading over to whistler at the end of the year (29th of November) for 3 months.
We not going through any of the programs, and have spoken to mates who did it ths year.
So were organising our own flights, and workig visas, and getting social security stuff over there.
were thinking of rocking up, with a hostel booked for approx 5 nights, while we find a place to stay for the 3 month period. and get our bearings.

We all want to work over there approx. 4 days a week or something like that
we heard that if u do this thing for the mountain where u show people around for 6 hours a week you get a free season pass, and a few other mountain benefits. is this true?

do you have any advice for us? things to do/not to do?

we about to book our flights now so any advice would be much appreciated.
