i think it would be dumb cause then youd get a million people trying to pretend they know how to ski and would be like skateboard posers but for skiing. and thats grom

i wish my school had one. some guy said it would turn into a bunch of posers, but we would make it a team where you get cut if you suck. i would love to be on a ski team

i think it would be really cool, but I doubt there would be enough people in most schools, like myschool would have been like a two person team.

You'd basically have to make it a "freestyle snowsports" team because 90% of the people on it would be boarders.

Yeah it'd have to be freestyle snowsports. And even then it would be tough. Without any comps or rival school teams your team wouldn't be anything more than a ski club. And lots of schools have those. Cool idea, but it would have to be widespread to work.

Ya that being said you have to start somewhere for things to get the ball rolling. For example i came out of one of the hottest lacrosse recruiting regions in the United States (outside Philidelphia) and it was because our youth program became HUGE a couple of years before i started playing. I mean, six kids on my HS team last year alone went Division 1, and now that we have created a consistent reputation of producting top players the public schools have opened up middle school leagues and the whole thing is just snowballing.
To draw a closer parallel some of my friends at different schools play competitive paintball (no its not bullshit its a legit sport that has tournyments on Huntington Beach, Miami Beach, Central Philidelphia, the list goes on). Paintball got so big at their schools that they would wear their team jerseys to school on friday if they had a tournyment that weekend, much like the football team wears a shirt and tie or something.
So ya it would be a sick idea, and it might start off slow, but i gaurentee that in places that could easily acceess parks and pipes, it would eventually take off. All it takes is dedication, organization, and passion. With those three in tow you can do just about anything.

it'd be sick if a majority of NS went to the same school or something then it would be one skiing community. But i would kill to go to KMS, i think that'd be so sick
