Right...
So i have my 250gig drive which i back up my files, store my music, videos, and..... ahem.... Porn.
So it works great and is really usefull.
But it has this dam fan which is soooooo Noisy.
It drives me mad when its on and im really having to hold back in sticking a fucking knife in the to fuck up it good and proper so it doesnt make any more god dam noise.
Does this HD (which is held in an aluminum case) really need this fan??
Cos i have a screwdriver at the ready and i really wanna fuck it up.....
Any help is massivly appreciated...

move it farther away from your computer and cover it with something

i wouldent reccomend covering it with somethigncause it's not really good for it, but what you can probibly do is just buy a new fan for it or like you can take out the fan, but make sure it has somethign on it to cool the hard drive. so yah just get a new fan.. one thats nice and cool.

do NOT remove the fan or tamper with it. that fan is keeping your hard drive alive. without that fan it WILL overheat and fry and youll lose everything. trust me ive had a hard drive fried before from cooling reasons
