New base on the foil?

I herd the new foil had a base thatis made of something other than petex that salomons race shop designed for the ski. is this true? And if so how will it handle rail abuse.

i don't think it's on the foil. more than likely on the SPK since it's pretty much the old candide/cr pro-model. from what i've been told, it's a world cup race base meant to bleed more wax thus making the ski go faster.

im not 100% on that though. feel free to correct me if im wrong

Supposedly Salomon is going with the race bases, the fastest and most durable, on all their twins from now on.
