I haven't asked a ton from the board in the time I've posted here, however I need some help now, and I figured I should ask here, considering the subject matter.

I was assigned a massivly important project in my school, I have to make a 20 minute movie and relate the mind and how it reacts to skiing, almost spiritualism and how it has to do with skiing. Unfortunatly, I haven't filmed at all this year, and I have NO footage to use. I'd really like it if I, somehow, could recieve some decent quality footage to throw in the movie... as long as the skiers names are included, and your full name/orginazation is included so I can give proper credit in the bibliography and credits. And that the footage is of decent size and quality, and is in either quicktime or MPG (or AVI) format.

This movie will be viewed by my entire school, and its not my fault I got stuck with the job, lol, I mentioned that I enjoyed making digital video, and my teacher was like 'Fine, you're going to do a movie on how the mind connects with a sport'

So ya, I really need some help with this shit, its due mid-March ( I can probably get an extension) and I'm going to be filming my ass off, but I doubt i can get 20 minutes of good shots in between now and then.

If you send footage, you can include an interview with yourself talking about what brought you into skiing, and how it relates to your life, ,and how it makes you feel.

This movie will NOT be sold, and it will not be used to advertise or for any monetary gain at all.

I will post the movie on NS upon completion, and I'd REALLY love to get some big mountain footage in there (hint to you westerners...) :-)

sounds like it's gonna be a cool vid. I would give you some vid but i don't have any. If you can't get any footage. Make a video of 'The sould connecting with the sport of curling' haha that would be great. good luck on the ski movie though. be sure to post it up here when you're done.
REMEMBER: It's 10% equipment, and 90% rider.

ive got a fair bit of footage now, ill be shooting a lot in the near footage, but im crap at interviewing riders andy, if you hooked me up with the questions you want answered i could get you a lot of footage

I guess you could mail it if you wanted to. That would be really kind of you guys if you did. I'd be sure to either send it back after capture, or if on CD's, I could send you blank CD's in return. I wish I still worked at the shop b/c I'd get some swag to give to people. So yeah, I guess you could send some in the mail... VHS, CD with mpg files on it, or Hi-8 or DV tapes... I can use any...

What state of mind does skiing put you in?

How has it effected your mental state or spirituality?

Can add humor and such in after those main questions are answered.

my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

1)I guess it puts my in a relaxed state of mind, but at the same time im hyped to hit the jump, and concentrating, alot if its a rail

oh and just do a good job on the editing and put in some nice soft trippy music (i would recommend tool) use lots of slo-mo and pondering shots and some heavy breathing before some big jumps. some low tone, serious commentary and youll get 100%. i got a 97% on mye last vid project, and that was worth 40% of one of my courses and i did it the night before.

Great ideas... and yeah,this is a major project as well as a school event... the entire senior class is getting into this shit, its great. Too bad none of them ski, lol.
