I don't see why not. I don't ride hevenly, but we have a ton of snow this year and I have heard their park has been really good. It just needs to stop snowing so everything can get rebuilt.

yeah, I find it kinda messed up that on the east coast, people ski off every last little grain of snow from the mountains....heavenly closes with more open terrain than all the mountains in VT have open put together in the middle of feb..

yeah it's a fucked up concept, but they are business just like anything else and when people stop showing up they stop maing money and they have to close down. You can't operate on negative income.

I think is has to be a marketing issue. They need to do something to get people to the mountain in april or may. Like offer an after april 15 pass for like 100 bucks..that would get people on the mountain buying rediculous food. And its especially weird for heavenly because they have a critical mass of tourists all year round anyway because of the gambling. I also heard from a friend in tahoe that it's also an agreement they have with the wildlife people or some shit.

^yeah, most tahoe resorts are on land lease from the national forest service and the contracts end in spring. however, i'm sure that if they paid more, they could extend them.

yeah we'll have 2 full parks and a pipe open until the end. and the Pipe is actually ridable now that it's a little smaller... about 19ft. We are trying to build up some stuff and mix thing's up for the last few weeks so thing's will be changing up every day. lata
