Any of you guys play a hand drum, like a djembe or bongo type of thing?

I love my djembe great whay to chill with your friends.

for thoses who dont know this is a djemebe

Its not something we do on a regular basis, butif we're bored and just doing nothing its fun to start a drum circle

I'm far from a hippie its a nice change of pace and an instrument that lots of people can enjoy because you dont have to be super skilled to play one.

people who play hand drums aren't hippies . And to answer the original question, yeah I play a handdrum with my band sometimes. And it's just fun to play by yourself. good stuff

yes. Also bump. Also a drum hoarder a bit. Different ones that I've had on the road for a while, played with some cool people can't get rid off. Down to 3 djembes and a doumbek now. My bongos got stolen and I sold one of my smaller djembes.

I neglected my drum kit while traveling for years though so focusing on that now. Hoping I can get as comfortable around that as I am on hand drums.

Def something about having a drum handy when somebody has a guitar, banjo, mandolin another drum or whatever. Met some really cool people over the years through music.

Hand drums ftw.

There are a couple and I think they're both/all pretty much dead if not completely dead.

a lot of my friends are musicians and we like to jam when we hang out. we might have pissed off the neighbors off once or a million times with a room full of kids banging on djembes in the middle of the night
